Shalvah Farm

Shalvah Farms is a small micro-farm that is home to Rex Rabbits, Welsh Harlequin ducks and Roman Tuffed Geese. We are striving to create a natural, "better than organic" regenerative agriculture based micro-farm. We do not use any synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, or harmful chemicals and use only sustainable methods of controlling weeds, pests, and diseases. We use natural inputs and practices to maintain healthy, nutrient-rich soil and thus the healthiest plants, animals, and humans.

Welsh Harlequins are a heritage breed that is on the American Livestock Breed Conservancy (ALBC-USA) Critical List. Welshies, as we love to call them, are a lovely and fun duck whose quack sounds like laughter! They have a wonderful, calm disposition. Their favorite thing, other than laughing at me, is to forage on our lawn/pasture. They are our partners in pest and weed control along with their new flock companions: Blue Swedish ducks, Buff ducks, and Roman Tuffed Geese.
Duck eggs are healthier than chicken eggs (even farm fresh chicken eggs) and make excellent baked goods.
