Description
Family farmers who began raising vegetables by organic methods in 1972. We grow a wide variety of vegetables, berries, fresh culinary and medicinal herbs as well as shiitake mushrooms and ginger. Our produce is available at the Carrboro and Durham Farmers Markets. On what was once a worn out tobacco farm, we have rejuvenated the land and created productive gardens and an ecosystem rich in biodiversity.
We participate in annual farm tours and teach workshops at conferences throughout the south, and have mentored numerous young farmers who are now successful in their own right.
