We are a small family farm in the mountains of Western North Carolina. The land has been in the family for 6 generations. We are now involved with the Mills River Farmers' Market. This local market is a producer-only market. Our opening day for 2011 was May 7. We had a terriffic turnout for both vendors and shopppers. We are looking forward to a WONDERFUL YEAR.
Brittain Farms now is selling eggs from my Golden Red hens, processed poultry, and vegetables is season. We are getting ready to have some hogs processed into sausage. The big news is our DUCKS. Our ladies have begun laying eggs! We have about 140 laying ducks and are hoping to supply the surrounding area with an excellent product.
