FreshGreensMarket is an organic urban farm and market on the west side of Montgomery, Alabama dedicated to making fresh food accessible to the community and its residents. It is now our time. We stand in the legacy of our ancestors and we take this work very seriously. We have answered their call by creating FreshGreensMarket and the Legacy Community Garden.

We became land stewards in 2020, and now we’re heading into our third year and planting season. So far, We’ve harvested okra, tomatoes, squash, zucchini, pecans, carrots, turnips, collards, herbs and so much more. With much gratitude, The fruits and vegetables continue to bloom beautifully. We have an amazing team of blk farmers in training, ranging in ages 8-38, creating this space mentored by elder blk farmers in the Alabama area and a network of agriculturalists across the country supporting our work.
