Two Chicks Farm

Two Chicks Farm is a small farm located five miles from downtown Hillsborough, NC. Two Chicks Farm's mission is to produce high quality vegetables, herbs, and value added products to sell to the local community. Our vision is to be a fully sustainable farm growing vegetables and herbs year round using organic methods and season extension when necessary, to provide the community with locally produced flavorful and healthy food. We are committed to staying small so we can hand tend our products in order to provide the best quality at competitive prices while providing great customer service.
We grow a variety of vegetable and herbs year round. Also, we pickle and ferment some of our produce. We sell at the Western Wake Farmers' Market and at the Eno River Farmers' Market on Saturdays year round. Also we sell our pickled and fermented products at the South Durham Farmers' Market one or two Saturdays a month. The farm is on 10 acres of land with 2 acres in production. The farm was started in 2005 and we began selling produce in 2009. Between 2005 and 2009, we were busy building our soil with cover crops and compost. We farm using biointensive and sustainable practices. We use no synthetic fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. The quality of our produce is our main goal. We believe produce should not only look good to feed your eyes but should also have exceptional flavor and be nutritionally superior to feed your body. We strive through growing methods to achieve these goals.
