Red-Tailed Farm

Located just outside Burgaw in Pender County, here at Red-Tailed Farm we strive to raise our animals in the most natural and sustainable ways possible. We practice year-round rotational grazing with our mixed herd of sheep and goats, followed by our laying hens and meat ducks in their mobile coop. We raise our pigs in the forest, allowing them to live a natural life much like their wild cousins. All of our animals are fed a custom-milled Non-GMO, Soy free diet. We use only solar power to charge our portable electric fences and buy supplies from our local general store whenever possible.
Our products include pork, eggs, lamb, duck, turkey, rabbit and produce. We also offer artisan wood crafts made from reclaimed oak barnwood and hand made leather goods.
Our products can be purchased year-round at The Wilmington Farmers Market at Tidal Creek Coop every Saturday morning from 10am-1pm in the winter and 8am-1pm in the spring/summer.
Starting in April we will also be at the following markets:
Wrightsville Beach Farmers Market, Mondays 8am-1pm
Poplar Grove Farmers Market, Wednesdays 8am-1pm
River Lights/Marina Village Market, 1st Friday of the month 9am-1pm and 3rd Friday of the month 4-8pm.
