Kirkman Farm has utilized oganic farming practices in providing fresh high quality vegetables to wholesale and retail businesses as well as individuals since 1985. This farm was first established in 1845 as the Marcom Plantation. It has seen many changes. Over the last decade the pressure from wildlife; especially, but not limited to; deer due to the clear-cutting of thousands of acres in Chatham/Western Wake counties has become such that we must limit what we are able to produce this season.
